Lenovo will deliver its CES 2027 keynote inside Sphere in Las Vegas on Wednesday, January 6, 2027, at 5 p.m. PT. The event, branded “Tech World @ CES,” will be led by Lenovo chairman and CEO Yuanqing Yang and will focus on what the company calls hybrid AI. The Consumer Technology Association (CTA), which runs CES, announced the plan on October 7.

What was announced?

Lenovo is bringing its flagship Tech World event to CES for the 2027 show and staging it at Sphere rather than a conventional ballroom. The CTA describes it as an immersive experience unlike anything CES audiences have seen before.

Yang will present alongside other AI leaders, though Lenovo has not yet named the guests. The keynote will cover Lenovo’s latest products and discuss where AI is heading next. According to the CTA, Lenovo and its partners will show how personal, enterprise and public AI can work together across devices, infrastructure, software, solutions and services.

Startups from Lenovo’s AI ecosystem will also be featured in Sphere’s atrium during the event.

What did Lenovo and the CTA say?

Yang framed the keynote around the relationship between people and machines. “The future is not AI or human, it is Human + AI,” he said in the announcement.

CTA president and CEO Kinsey Fabrizio said the session “is shaping up to be one of the week’s must-see moments.”

Who can attend?

Attendance is limited to credentialed CES attendees. The CTA said ticketing, logistics and the full speaker list will be announced later, so CES badge holders will need to watch for registration details before the show.

Where does it fit in the CES 2027 schedule?

Lenovo’s evening slot comes on the first full day of CES 2027, which runs from January 6 to 9. That day opens with the CTA’s State of the Industry Address and a keynote from Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa at 8:30 a.m. Pacific in the Venetian’s Palazzo Ballroom, according to audioXpress’s preview of the show.

CES 2027 is again expected to be very large. audioXpress reports that the independently audited figures for CES 2026 showed 148,392 participants, including 55,841 international attendees from 141 countries, regions and territories. More than 4,100 exhibitors occupied over 2.6 million net square feet, and about 1,200 startups exhibited in Eureka Park.

The same audit recorded a 22% increase in attendees interested in AI and a 26% increase in those interested in robotics, which helps explain why AI companies are competing for the most visible slots of the week.

Why it matters

Moving a keynote to Sphere is a statement about scale and spectacle. Staging the keynote as an immersive show gives Lenovo a way to stand out in a week packed with AI announcements from chipmakers, PC makers and consumer electronics brands.

The hybrid AI pitch also reflects a broader industry argument: that AI will not live only in giant cloud data centres, but will be split between personal devices, company systems and public models. Lenovo’s pitch spans devices, infrastructure and services, so it has an interest in AI running across all of those layers. Funding for AI infrastructure companies remains strong, as shown by recent rounds such as Ocient’s $100 million Series C for AI data workloads.
