Key points

  • AWS re:Invent 2026 takes place from November 30 to December 4, 2026, in Las Vegas, with virtual keynotes available online.
  • AWS CEO Matt Garman delivers the CEO keynote on Tuesday, December 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Pacific Time.
  • Ruba Borno leads the partner keynote on Wednesday, December 2, at 3 p.m. Pacific at the Venetian, with Garman among the guests.
  • Security content previously presented at AWS re:Inforce now runs as a security focus inside re:Invent, according to OpenCurious.
  • In-person passes cost $2,499, while keynotes are livestreamed free, according to OpenCurious.

Amazon Web Services will hold re:Invent 2026, its biggest annual cloud and AI conference, from November 30 to December 4 in Las Vegas. AWS CEO Matt Garman opens the main keynote programme on Tuesday, December 1, according to a guide published by AWS on its Partner Network blog. The week is where AWS traditionally unveils its largest product launches for the year ahead, which this year are expected to centre on AI.

When is AWS re:Invent 2026?

The conference runs Monday to Friday, November 30 to December 4, 2026, spread across multiple venues on the Las Vegas Strip. AWS says keynotes and Innovation Talks will also be available virtually.

One events calendar, CX Today, lists the event as ending on December 3, but AWS’s own partner guide, published on October 27, gives the full November 30 to December 4 window, which OpenCurious also reports after checking the official AWS event page.

What is the keynote schedule?

AWS has confirmed two key slots in its partner guide:

  • AWS CEO keynote with Matt Garman: Tuesday, December 1, 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Pacific Time.
  • Partner keynote with Ruba Borno: Wednesday, December 2, 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time at the Venetian. Borno is AWS’s vice president of specialists and partners, and AWS says special guests, including Garman, will join her.

AWS describes the partner keynote as “the single biggest moment partners will have with AWS at re:Invent.” The guide does not list every 2026 keynote slot, so further sessions may still be announced.

What is different this year?

OpenCurious, which tracks tech event details against official pages, reports one notable structural change: security content that used to be presented at AWS’s separate re:Inforce conference now runs as a dedicated security focus inside re:Invent. That consolidates two of AWS’s major events and makes re:Invent the main venue for its security announcements.

The event remains large. OpenCurious lists more than 2,200 sessions, workshops and an expo across the week. AWS’s partner guide organises breakout sessions by day from Monday, November 30 through Friday, December 4. One example aimed at partners, PEX205, titled “AI-Powered Profitability: How Partners Are Winning with AWS,” is scheduled for Thursday, December 3, reflecting how heavily the programme leans on AI this year.

How much does it cost?

According to OpenCurious:

  • In-person registration costs $2,499
  • Groups buying 10 or more passes receive a 10% discount
  • Keynotes are livestreamed free online

AWS’s partner guide adds that all in-person attendees receive a 50% discount voucher for any AWS Certification exam. Other fixtures listed by AWS include the re:Invent Run at Allegiant Stadium, a trivia night hosted by Jeff Barr, and re:Play, the official re:Invent party on Thursday night.

Why it matters

re:Invent is the single most important week on the calendar for AWS customers and partners. Product launches announced in Las Vegas typically shape cloud buying decisions and developer roadmaps for the following year. With competition intensifying among cloud providers to host AI workloads and agentic systems, attention will be on what AWS announces for AI models, chips and agent tooling.

The agent theme is already showing up across the industry. Consumer companies are experimenting with AI agents that take actions for users, as Uber’s early results with agent-booked rides show, and cloud platforms are competing to supply the infrastructure behind them.
